Margo of Bright Occasions helped my husband and I plan our perfect wedding. She took care of everything for us–budget, planning and day-of schedule, vendor selection, contract negotiations, booking hotel block, creating wedding website, guiding us thru registry process, decorating venue, troubleshooting, and much, much more. There were so many details that would not even have occurred to us without her and really made a huge difference how things went. Margo made the whole process as stress-free as possible for us and really went out of her way to make our wedding exactly how we wanted it. Margo is soft spoken and incredibly friendly and I was initially a little worried that she wouldn’t be assertive enough to orchestrate our multi-site wedding. It became clear almost immediately that that was a very silly worry. Margo took charge right after our first planning meeting and, as it turns out, these qualities just make her a dream to work with.

At our planning meeting, Margo created a timeline for us and corrected vendor arrival times (this averted a huge disaster, so I was more than thrilled before we even got started with the wedding weekend). Day of, she kept me at ease all day, putting out fires that I was never even aware of until later (apparently our groomsmen are a bunch of dopes).

Every time I saw her, she was so calm that it was almost unreal. At your wedding, things will go wrong. If you hire Margo, she will deal with them like the badass goddess of zen that she is.

When I say she went above and beyond, I really mean it. When I say she ACTUALLY cared about every aspect of our wedding and that I could tell she really really loves what she does, I mean it.

Margo was hands down the best thing that happened to our wedding.

From day one, Margo made an incredibly stressful process as stress-free as possible, and was patient with us throughout our year of planning.After getting to know us, she first helped us come up with a timeline for planning and made sure we stayed on track right until the wedding day. We planned the majority of our wedding from out-of-state, and Margo was there by email, phone, or Skype whenever we had questions or needed reassurance. She also provided the same level of responsiveness to our parents whom she worked with in planning our rehearsal dinner. She was very conscious of our budget throughout and was able to recommend vendors whom she trusted and fit within our means. She also helped us set up meetings with them when we were in town and negotiate contracts. In the end, we had great experiences with all of our vendors.

Margo has an incredibly calming presence which is catching to those around her, and that was so helpful to us and our families before and during the wedding. She coordinated the arrival, set up, and clean up of all vendors at the hotel beforehand and at our ceremony site so that everything flowed smoothly. If anything went wrong that day, she handled it without us knowing.

It is clear that Margo loves her job and is an expert in her field. She truly went above and beyond, and I can’t think of anything she didn’t offer to help us with. She’s kind, caring, dedicated, and assertive when needed and you should absolutely choose Margo and Bright Occasions for your wedding!

We are so grateful we hired Margo as our planner because she was very flexible and helped to ease our anxiety. She was responsible, reliable, and knowledgeable.

Margo provided wonderful suggestions and ideas for our ceremony and reception. She was always available to chat by phone, text message, or through email. Margo met with us and our caterer at our venue and helped us create a wedding day timeline and she helped us decide how to use the venue space. Margo spoke directly with all of our vendors to coordinate final details and reviewed the vendor contracts with us.

The day of our wedding, she arrived long before the ceremony time and immediately went to work making sure everything fell into place. She brought an assistant, Rachel, who was friendly and helpful. They set up our chuppah cover and it looked beautiful. Margo made sure we stayed on schedule throughout the day. She helped coordinate family photos and our ketubah signing. When it was time for the main ceremony, Margo arranged the bridal party and gave clear instructions for the processional and recessional. During the reception, Margo stayed in contact with our caterer and dj and made sure everything ran smoothly. She was the last person to leave the synagogue after helping to clean up and make sure all of our belongings and supplies were packed for us. She was simply delightful, relaxed, and on-top of every part of our wedding for the entire day. We highly recommend Margo to anyone looking for an organized, creative, and proactive wedding planner.

We hired Margo as our day-of coordinator about a year before our wedding. However, Margo went above and beyond what we hired her for. From day one, she encouraged me to email her questions I had about the wedding. She always responded, whether via email or phone, extremely promptly and was always incredibly friendly. I felt as though I was chatting with a close friend.

In the couple of months leading up to the wedding, I worked even closer with Margo. We had a planning meeting and a walk-through at my wedding site. Margo was always “on the ball.” She came to every event with notes from our previous conversations. I considered myself a nervous bride, but Margo always made me feel extremely comfortable. She was kind and respectful, listening to all of my concerns and questions, and taking them seriously by offering professional advice. Margo always made me feel like I was her number one priority.

I cannot stress how helpful Margo was in the weeks before the wedding. Margo put together a wonderful wedding day timeline (which, by the way, she helped us stick to perfectly!) and would email me gentle reminders of tasks I had outstanding. She was incredibly instrumental in helping me coordinate with my vendors. When I had a hard time reaching my officiant, Margo took it upon herself to call him, and within the day I heard back from him.

Margo is a great wedding planner because she is calm, collected, and has an incredibly friendly demeanor, yet she commands respect in moments of stress.

For example, moments before our ceremony began, our eight grandparents wanted to change their ceremony entrance, and Margo swiftly got everyone’s attention and executed the change perfectly.
I should also that on the wedding day, I also gave Margo a massive “to-do” list. I did not think it was humanly possible to complete every last thing on that list, but Margo did. Her performance was flawless and she was never intrusive.

Margo was a godsend. We hired her a month before the wedding when I had so many loose ends I didn’t know what to do with them. I had interviewed a few other wedding coordinators but Margo seemed so on the ball, arriving at our free consultation prepared with a sample wedding plan. Plus she made me feel so comfortable as soon as we met. I just knew she and I would work well together (though she did most of the work!).

She dove right in and got things in order while maintaining a naturally calm demeanor.

She continuously sent me gentle reminders of the tasks I needed to accomplish. She followed up with vendors immediately and was always quick to respond to my emails. I can’t recommend her enough. My wedding was the best day of my life thanks in part to her great work!

Margo was our Day of Coordinator for our October 13, 2012 wedding. I wanted to plan the entire event myself, but I knew I would need help on the day of the wedding, and I found that and so much more in Margo. My Mother and I essentially handed over the timeline and giant to-do list to Margo in the weeks leading up to the big day. My mom and I put a great deal of trust in her to carry out the many details we had spent months planning…and she went above and beyond to make our dreams a reality! From the beginning, Margo went way beyond what she had been hired to do, and was more than happy to offer advice and recommendations to me throughout the planning process.

On our wedding day, she came early and stayed late and was truly an asset in making our day the amazing event that it was. Margo set up our many detailed decorations, kept everything running smoothly and on schedule, just as we had talked about and run through prior to the wedding.

Margo also handled the management of our timeline so effortlessly…ensuring that I never had to worry about what time it was or what was supposed to happen next. I cannot recommend Margo enough, she truly helped make my wedding day the best day of my life!

When I started planning my wedding, I felt I could handle the color coordination, organization, details and fun wedding ideas on my own, but I really needed someone to help me on the actual day of my wedding. Even though it rained the day of our wedding and our outdoor ceremony had to be moved indoors Margo made sure everything looked perfect. We hired Margo as our day of coordinator but she did so much more than that. I planned the majority of the wedding myself but knew that I wanted to be stress-free on wedding day and that is exactly what I was! Margo handled everything. She is definitely experienced and knew exactly what needed to be done. She ran our rehearsal, set up our centerpieces and ceremony things. She made sure that someone had all of our things at the end of the night. She took care of pre-wedding stuff like vendor confirmation. She even saved our centerpieces by using some votives she happened to have when the ones I ordered did not arrive in time for wedding day. Margo was just spectacular and more than anything else she is just so nice. My family commented on how just genuinely nice she was through the rehearsal and wedding.
