Margo Fischer

Margo Fischer is the owner of Bright Occasions. Since 2011, Margo has been known for creating thoughtfully designed celebrations and seamless event experiences that reflect each client’s unique vision and goals. With a wealth of experience in the hospitality and events industry, Margo has worked across the Washington, DC region in some of the best venues.

Margo and her team at Bright Occasions have planned and managed a wide range of events including luxury weddings, mitzvah’s, milestone celebrations, nonprofit and corporate events, educational conferences and multi-day events. Margo specializes in blending meticulous planning with creative design, ensuring each event feels both polished and personal.

In addition to private events, Margo is a co-producer of Art in Bloom DC, a creative event concept that brings the DC community together through fresh flowers, beautiful art and architecture, immersive floral workshops and a curated social experience. Art in Bloom DC reflects Margo’s passion for fostering creativity, building community and creating meaningful moments that extend beyond an event.

Margo co-produced the Beyond the Blackout series in 2020-2021 to highlight diversity and inclusivity within the event industry. She also co-produced the Head Table Event Planner networking luncheons in 2022-2023 to create a space for event planners to gather, mingle and learn from one another.

During her free time, Margo enjoys spending time with her husband Dave and their two young children, taking long walks, visiting art museums, and finding the best ice cream shops.
