Classic and Unique Boutonnieres

One of my brides recently asked about boutonnieres; she is thinking about doing something really unique for her Groom to-be and the male side of the bridal party with non-floral’s for their lapels.  This seems like such a small detail, but these personal touches really do add a unique element to the overall feel and mood of your wedding.  There are no rules when it comes to personalizing your Wedding, so why not do something different.

To give a brief background, because I was curious enough to look up their history, “boutonniere” comes to us from the French.  According to one source, “the boutonniere and the bridal bouquet were created for similar reasons: to ward off bad smells, disease, and evil spirits.” (www.bluebouquet.com).  Today, they are primarily worn as a special part of the bridal party attire, to help them stand out as important members of the wedding.
