Kate and Brad planned their September 2010 wedding at the Pine Orchard Yacht and Country Club in Branford, Connecticut for its location and personal meaning. When choosing a venue, they knew it had to be close to home since Kate and Brad met in High School. A Connecticut native, Kate spent her summers at Pine Orchard either on the tennis courts, near the snack bar, putting around on the golf course, at the pool with friends, or visiting her Grandmother around the corner. The beautiful waterfront area where Kate remembers playing and collecting sea glass and shells, made for a lovely spot to take photos.
Soft pinks, gray, sage and cream with accents of silver and gold, helped to set the Romantic Garden, Whimsical and Vintage tone. Lace details were used throughout the decor, on paper (programs, escort cards), wrapped around candles on the guest tables, and vintage family linens were used use on the guest book table and dessert station. Fresh and soft garden blooms, and classic/vintage styled place settings pulled the details together on the reception tables. The result was a beautiful occasion that was both special to Kate and Brad, and fun and meaningful for their friends and family.
