Follow Friday Vendor Spotlight: Kate Fine Art Photography

If you’ve been on The Bright Occasions website, than you have seen some of the beautiful photographs taken by Kate, owner of Kate Fine Art Photography, a professional wedding, portrait and fine art photographer based in Annapolis, MD.  Kate and I met a few years ago when my husband and I were in the process of looking for our own wedding photographer.  We loved Kate’s warm personality, and how her pictures capture a story.  Since then I have come to know more about Kate who is friendly, professional, and hard working.  She makes everyone around her feel good, and that really shows in her work.

With an academic background in Fine Art and Art History, Kate captures a style that combines romance, nature, and family.  She is great at capturing natural light, details and emotion.  I can’t help but smile when I see her photographs of smiling and happy couples, it is as if  I am seeing them in real time smiling back.

From Kate:  I want clients to have the wedding photographs of their dreams.  Examples of requests include high fashion bridal portraits, 90% photojournalistic, portraits of extended family and college friends.  I keep all of this in mind on the big day.  Using the most recent technology, it is limitless as to what you can do with your photographs.  My favorite ways to present the finished artwork is in a Cypress Album, matted and framed, or printed on a stretcher canvas.  I am currently working to incorporate video into my sessions as well.  The finished product will be a slide show of your photos with a bit of live video snuck in there where you least expect it!  Coming soon 🙂

Kate is based out of Annapolis, and works in the MD, DC, and northern VA area as well as across the country (and abroad) traveling for destination weddings.  Much of her work can be seen on her blog, but here are some highlights:
