Last fall I had the pleasure to work with a great couple, Darius and Anthony, as their wedding planner. I loved their vision for a wedding that was classic and elegant with a modern twist. Instead of a traditional sit down reception, we created a cocktail style reception with the emphasis on a beautiful ceremony and a fun reception at Josephine Butler Parks Center for all to enjoy.
Their elegant navy and gold wedding is one to remember and inspire. Here are some of my favorite elements, photos by Victoria Ruan Photography:
Beautiful garlands, gold framed photos and candlelight added warmth to the space. Cafe and cocktail tables were adorned with navy linen and complimented with gold chivari chairs and petite hydrangea centerpieces in gold vases.
I loved working with Jolie at Uncloudy Studio for this wedding, she did a great job at bringing Darius and Anthony’s floral vision to life. See more from this stunning wedding via her blog.
Don’t you just love this cake and cupcake display? My favorite, besides the super cute cake, were the blue velvet cupcakes by Huda’s Sweet Bee Bakery.
In addition, one of my favorite details were the CD of Love Songs that Darius and Anthony made to give to guests. It’s such a sweet favor idea and to me this demonstrated their warmth, personality and huge hearts.
It was so great to work with Darius and Anthony; thinking about their wedding brings a smile to my face! Congratulations again to this wonderful couple.
