It was so great to work with Kristen and Kevin last fall for their wedding at Carnegie Institution for Science in Washington, DC. Not only are they a super sweet couple, I loved their ideas to enhance the guest experiences. To start Champagne was offered upon arrival at the venue. And at the beginning of dinner, Kristen and Kevin chose to thank their guests and cut their gorgeous wedding cake. This enabled people to enjoy dessert before dancing the night away. They were truly thinking, “what can we do to give our guests a memorable and fun evening?”
We were lucky to have Marcella Treybig Photograpy there to capture it all. It was great to work with Main Event Caterers, Petal’s Edge and the entire vendor team (see full list below). Kristen and Kevin asked a former professor to officiate. The result was a very sweet and personal ceremony. 
Escort cards by The Dandelion Patch included small stamps to show the meal choice (cow, fish, carrot).
Cool flowers in shades of fuchsia, purple with small touches of green and gray greens were set on gray tables. 
One of my favorite details was this gorgeous wedding cake by Fancy Cakes by Leslie. I love the classic and clean look. The bead work and navy trim adds a fun and preppy design that isn’t too busy.
After toasts and dinner, Kristen and Kevin shared their first dance and then each danced with their parents. Later photo booth was open and guests enjoyed a fun party for the rest of the night.
Late night snacks from Main Event Caterers included smores and plus bite-sized chicken and waffles!
