Last summer I had the pleasure to work with Katie and Doug for their wedding at Dahlgren Chapel and The Westin Georgetown with Emily Clack Photography. Due to family circumstances, they had a short engagement and planned their wedding in just a few months. Despite this, Katie and Doug had a wedding day that was full of love and commitment! It was such a pleasure to be a part of their wedding. Here is part 1 of their day:
Suzanne at The Make-Up Chic did a great job with Katie and her bridesmaids. Katie is a beautiful person inside and out; I loved her natural bridal look. Her gorgeous wedding dress is from Ellie’s Bridal.
Dahlgren Chapel is located on Georgetown’s campus. It is tucked behind Healy Hall and has served as the main Catholic chapel since 1893. It is a really beautiful and intimate church.
At the Father of the Bride’s request, we did a bubble send-off after the ceremony. Such a sweet idea!
Katie’s florist, Flowers by Lisa, did a really lovely job. Her bouquet with peach garden roses, succulents and dusty miller was one of my favorites from 2014.
Emily Clack Photography did an amazing job capturing the day. After the ceremony, Katie and Doug stayed at Georgetown for photos while guests departed for for their brunch reception. Part 2 photos will be posted later this week.
