Earlier this week, I shared Part 1 from Katie and Doug’s at Dahlgren Chapel and The Westin Georgetown with Emily Clack Photography. When I first learned their plans for a brunch wedding, I was very excited (who doesn’t love brunch?)! I love brunch weddings because they allow couples to literally enjoy their wedding all day. Plus you can have fun with the menu and get creative with brunch foods and beverages. When I think of Katie and Doug’s wedding, the word thoughtful comes to mind. They are such kind and considerate people with loving families. And they also incorporated thoughtful details for the day, one of my favorite elements were the crossword puzzle they gave to each guest at their place setting. Here are more photos from their wedding:
After the ceremony, Katie and Doug took advantage of Georgetown’s campus for more photos (and even got to meet Jack the Bulldog/Georgetown’s mascot).
Katie and her mom worked with Flowers by Lisa for all of the wedding florals, I loved the classic white hydrangea and peach garden rose centerpieces.
To start the reception, Katie’s dad put together a slideshow and gave a really heartfelt toast.
Prior to cutting their cake, Katie and Doug took a moment to thank their parents, family and friends.
In order to make the most of their wedding day, after the reception, Katie and Doug also hosted an after party in Georgetown.
Congrats to the newlyweds, and a big thanks to Emily Clack Photography for capturing the day so beautifully.
