It was such a privilege to work with Lauren and Neal as their wedding planner. I loved their vision for a wedding that included seasonal purple and white flowers, a dreamy outdoor setting, delicious food and a fun dance party. See part 1 to view their getting ready, portraits and ceremony at Woodend; and their feature on United With Love (part 1 and part 2). For Lauren, Neal and their family, this was a destination wedding; shortly after their engagement the two moved to NYC, with families traveling to the DC area from the South. We incorporated their upbringing with a gourmet Southern inspired menu from Design Cuisine, as well as some local Maryland food favorites. 
Lauren and Neal’s ceremony happened right before sunset. To add to the decor, as well as to provide lighting, Growing Wild Floral set-up lanterns throughout the path. We also incorporated lanterns within the escort card table to complete the look. This became one of my favorite details from the wedding. It’s sweet and simple, yet elegant and impactful. And those dinnerplate dahlias are perfection! 
Design Cuisine provided delicious food and drink that were perfect for the upscale casual menu that Lauren and Neal chose. 
Another favorite design detail were the place settings we chose from DC Rental; they complimented Lauren and Neal’s look and color scheme perfectly. The eggplant wine and water glasses are a fun surprise on the table and really takes the whole look to the next level. 
After dinner, Lauren and Neal danced for the first time as husband and wife! 
Design Cuisine worked with Lauren and Neal to create a simple, classic and beautiful wedding cake. Barbara at Growing Wild Floral provided the fresh blooms. Bridesmaids bouquets were displayed on the table and also added to the overall look.
