Last year I was fortunate to collaborate with some of the best DC vendors for a styled wedding shoot, which was featured on The DC Ladies this past Fall! Tasked with organizing our “mock wedding”, creating a theme and styling the event, I came up with a bold and bright look. I chose our Kate Spade theme to embody a modern DC couple; one that blends current trends with classic details and plays with color, texture and patterns to create a glamorous style that is uniquely their own (and avoids being overly matchy-matchy). Our Kate Spade in DC Wedding incorporated a black and white patterned look with red, orange, magenta and gold accents and was set at Carnegie Library with catering by 550 Events. Our brooch bouquet by Eight Tree Street and wedding cake by Kendall’s Cakes perfectly complimented our sparkly crystal and pearl wedding dress from Ellie’s Bridal Boutique. And one of my favorite details, was our invitation set to include a nod to Washington, DC architecture, designed by Tabibi Design. In addition, our shoot included a sweet dessert table with cake pops, cupcakes, and heart shaped brownies and blondies by Huda’s Sweet Bee Bakery. We were also lucky to have diamond rings and bridal jewelry from Diamond Connects, bridesmaid jewelry from Rene Kauder – Independent Stylist for Stella & Dot and garters from The Garter Girl.
