Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday and a beloved time of year. I love getting together with friends and family over delicious food. And it’s always exciting to be nearing the holiday season. It’s a wonderful time of year to get married for a variety of reasons. Including the fact that it’s the “off season”, so you won’t be competing for vendors, as you would in September-October. If you are getting married around Thanksgiving, or just planning a festive bash, here are a few ideas for your celebrations:
Fall/winter décor. Pumpkins, berries, pine cones are great seasonal items to use in your décor. These can be added to a place card table, or in your ceremony and reception floral designs.
Individual thank you notes. Now is the time to say “thanks” and what better way than a thank-you card for each guest. How about instead of a menu card, or even on the back side of the menu.
Festive drinks. For a seasonal cocktail try a bourbon apple cider or a cranberry champagne cocktail. Your guests are sure to be pleased. Include this as a “signature cocktail” or just as an option on the full bar.
One word – pie! Pie is a dessert that your guests will look forward to and enjoy! Display your pies on a beautiful table that adds to the décor and fits with the time of year.
