With DC as our backdrop, there are tons of cute ideas to incorporate.  For my own wedding, my husband and I purchased DC postcards and created a sticker for the back with our information.  One of my couples created their save-the-date using the DC Flag as the backdrop.  And a close friend included her engagement session with a picture of the DC Metro:

Magnets are great!  In fact, my refrigerator is covered with wedding and baby announcements.  I love it.  Here are two cute photo magnet save-the-dates.  You can use sites like vistaprint.com and and shutterfly.com to create your own.

With so many save-the-date ideas shared online, it’s hard to be truly one-of-a-kind.  But here is a save-the-date that is like none I’ve seen – it’s actually a pop-up card.  The couple worked with the designer to create their custom 3D save-the-date.
