Love stories are often filled with unique connections, and Aysha and Brad’s journey is no exception. Their wedding, held at a private residence in Washington, DC was an unforgettable day. It was a beautiful testament to their love, shared interests, and vibrant personalities. What made this event even more special was the family connection between Aysha and the owner of Bright Occasions, Margo Fischer.
Margo and Aysha are cousins, and their bond goes back to their childhood. Growing up, they played together at family gatherings, building cherished memories. So when Aysha and Brad’s love story began, it was only natural for Margo to be overjoyed. She vividly recalls their first meeting when Aysha and Brad planned a trip to DC while they were still dating. Margo instantly recognized their compatibility and knew they were meant to be.
Margo was honored to work closely with her cousin and Brad to help create the perfect wedding celebration for them. The ceremony and reception took place at Brad’s parents’ home in DC, with a guest count of 95. It was a dream come true for Aysha and Brad; they wanted their wedding to reflect their personalities and provide a warm and intimate atmosphere for their loved ones.
The wedding was a carefully curated blend of tradition, family, and fun. It embodied the couple’s vision of bringing people together in a comfortable setting, honoring the bride’s Jewish heritage and embracing the spirited culture of Brad’s New Orleans roots. The couple’s occupations in the entertainment industry brought a touch of magic to their special day. With Aysha’s talent as a writer and director and Brad’s expertise as a musician and composer, they ensured that every moment was filled with joy and enchantment.
The jewel tone color palette, abundant roses and peonies, and beautiful art deco decor added vibrancy to the elegant venue. Music played a significant role, creating an atmosphere of warmth and celebration. They even had a second line, a New Orleans tradition, where they paraded the neighborhood with their loved ones, accompanied by two horn players!
When it came to the menu, Aysha and Brad prioritized creating a diverse and inclusive experience for their guests. They served fusion cuisine with Southern and vegan options. Sazeracs, the traditional New Orleans drink, was the signature cocktail! For dessert, they delighted their guests with a confetti vanilla cake – Aysha’s favorite.
Four words encapsulate the essence of Aysha and Brad’s wedding: fun, friends, family… forever!
Following the festivities, Aysha and Brad embarked on an unforgettable honeymoon to Iceland and Ireland to continue their journey of love and adventure.
Aysha and Brad’s wedding was a celebration of their love story and a testament to the power of family connections. As they begin their life together in Los Angeles, they carry with them the memories of a day filled with laughter, music, and an abundance of love.
