Trends from NY Fall 2017 Bridal Fashion Week

It’s time to face the music that the 2017 wedding season is almost upon us! That means new styles and new trends will be weeding their way through the old and overdone of 2016. As always, the NY Fall 2017 bridal fashion week has optimal timing in guiding the trends to be. As it concludes, we’ve taken a look to see what styles and patterns reoccurred the most between designers. There seem to be some new and exciting trends on the horizon, and we can’t wait to see them in action!

  • Capes & Solids

Oscar De La Renta Bridal Fall 2017

Solid dresses were a huge hit this year. It feels good to go back to simplistic elegance. Capes seemed to be an even bigger hit, which will give any bride the dramatic flair her big day deserves! Combined, these two styles contrast beautifully – not too much or not enough of either side. Whether together or separate, they will definitely be very popular in the next year.

  • Plunging Necklines & Lace

Berta Bridal Fall 2017

Plunging necklines seem to be becoming more and more popular. Paired with a dress-full of lace and this style is the epitome of grace and sexiness. Don’t be afraid of this daring style – it’s a very flattering shape on many body types and no eye could stray from watching you walk down the aisle!

  •  Off the Shoulder & Floral

Marchesa Bridal Fall 2017

This dress just shouts flower child to us – the style is relaxed, delicate, and definitely vintage inspired. Florals were everywhere on the runways this season, so without a doubt variances of this will be a very popular look. Which who can complain with that? Nothing makes a girl feel prettier than being covered in flowers! And the casual off-the-shoulder sleeves create a soft and dainty vibe to flatter the bride.

  • Big Bows & Dramatic Backs

Oscar De La Renta Bridal Fall 2017

If your dress goal is sophistication and luxury, then look no further! The dramatic back combined with the big bow were a match made in bridal dress heaven. If the back were higher the bow may look overbearing or if the low back had nothing to accent it, it may appear plain. These two styles make the other shine in the best possible ways. We predict this style in particular to take off in the next year.
