Bright Occasions is very excited to announce our new intern Rachel Matza! Rachel is joining us from American University where she is a senior majoring in Public Relations and a minor in marketing. Originally from Long Island, NY, Rachel grew up with her mom telling her that she would make a great party planner one day. She loved to set up small events when she was younger, even when it meant setting the table for the Jewish holidays, she always made it into an event.
Rachel has a newfound love for DC and plans to never leave. A self proclaimed foodie, Rachel’s favorite spot in DC is the 14th street corridor with all the new restaurants and nightlife it has to offer. Her favorite restaurant is Bourbon Steak at the Four Seasons in Georgetown, where she goes for almost every special occasion. She has a passion for event planning. Rachel’s style ranges from the simple and classic wedding , to décor that is over the top and outrageous, but always tasteful. Rachel is detail oriented and loves to take care of all the finer details in the weddings.
