We were so honored when Julia and Mike selected Bright Occasions to be their wedding planner! It was such a pleasure working closely with them and their family – from the initial stages to the grand finale. Together, we meticulously crafted an elegant Italian-inspired wedding that paid homage to their backgrounds and shared interests.
Their personalized touches throughout the event were nothing short of remarkable. Mike, the Director of Operations for The Italian Store in Arlington, collaborated with his family business to craft a special and especially delicious red wine exclusively for their wedding day. The couple’s unique artwork adorned the wine labels as well as the beautiful Welcome sign, reflecting their individuality and creativity. And Julia selected unique cake toppers to reflect their personal and joint interests.
The ceremony took place at St. Aloysius Church, nestled within Mike’s alma mater, Gonzaga High School. Surrounded by loved ones, the couple exchanged vows in a venue that held deep personal significance for them.
The enchanting colors of cream, blush, navy and natural greenery set the stage for this delightful and unforgettable wedding celebration.
Throughout the festivities, the couple’s passion for life and love was palpable. From the captivating decor to the carefully curated details, every aspect of the event exuded their infectious energy. It was a joyous celebration that seamlessly blended tradition with personal touches, leaving an indelible mark and lasting memory on everyone in attendance.
The reception was held at the esteemed Ritz-Carlton, Pentagon City, adding a touch of elegance and luxury to the festivities. Guests were greeted with impeccable service and delectable cuisine. The menu featured a delightful fusion of traditional Italian dishes and modern culinary creations, ensuring a memorable dining experience for all. And the epic dance party included a nod to Julia’s families Jewish traditions.
As their special day drew to a close, it was evident that this wedding was a testament to the couple’s genuine connection and shared journey. Their love story, nurtured through running (they met at the Lululemon running club in Clarendon where Julia worked!), work, and family, blossomed into a remarkable union that will continue to thrive as they embark on their lifelong adventure together.
