Amanda and Michael planned their St Regis Washington, DC glamorous sunset wedding ceremony this past September, featuring an enchanted garden theme. The St Regis in DC is one of our favorite venues, the main ballroom has a historic feel and the private terrace event space is definitely unique to city venues. Their wedding included the most beautiful chuppah by floral design team B Floral Event Design, and a stunning color scheme of purple, silver, black and white. We love planning classic weddings in the Washington, DC region that feature beautiful floral designs and modern details. Everything was perfectly captured by Sarah Bradshaw Photography (see the full DC wedding vendor list below). Here is part 1 of their St Regis Washington, DC glamorous sunset wedding ceremony. We will be back later this week with more from Amanda & Michael’s wedding.
Amanda and Mike started the day by getting ready with their bridal party at The Mayflower Hotel, prior to taking photos together.
Amanda & Mike provided these sweet welcome gift boxes for their wedding guests, it was full of local DC goodies including Georgetown Cupcake, Popped Republic, Hubs Peanuts and Route 11 Chips. Plus The Dandelion Patch created beautiful welcome letters, in addition to creating all of the day-of stationery.
Amanda wore the most incredible lavender wedding dress by Hayley Paige. Colored wedding dresses are some of our favorites and Amanda looked stunning!
We loved Amanda’s style and her choice for a bridal bouquet that included white and lavender roses, anemones and touches of dusty miller.
Located steps to the White House, Amanda & Mike chose to do photos with their wedding party at Lafayette Park. Such a great group including best friends and siblings. And we love their wedding party choice for classic black tuxedo’s and long black dresses with a hint of silver sparkle for the bridesmaids.
This wedding ceremony chuppah is among our favorites ever. B Floral Event Design used super lush flowers in mostly whites with pops of lavender and greenery. They also hung votive candles to the top which got brighter during this St Regis glamorous sunset wedding ceremony in Washington, DC.
We worked with Revolution Event Design to provide special furniture for the ceremony that doubled as lounge seating during the reception. A mix of silver and metallic throw pillows were a perfect touch.
