Unique & Useful Wedding Favors

You’ve been to enough weddings to know that as guilty as it makes you feel, sometimes useless wedding favors can end up in the trash. So when it’s time to decide what to give your guests at your own wedding you want to think of something unique, but also more importantly useful. We definitely agree that the best favors to receive are the ones with a purpose. Here are a couple of ideas that will hopefully save your guests the pings of guilt when facing the decision of whether or not to throw your wedding favor away.

Edible Wedding Favors

You can never go wrong with giving away food! This might be the foodie in me talking, but edible wedding favors are the perfect way to send your guests away with a little treat that they’ll truly appreciate. There are also a lot of fun and cute ideas for packaging that your guests will absolutely fan over. Jars of jam, donut to-go boxes, small bottles of liquor, condiments (ex. hot sauce), s’mores kits and hot coco bags for autumn/winter weddings, or regional treats (ex. salt water taffy) are great ideas for favors.

Seasonal Wedding Favors

If you’re having a winter or summer wedding, you can gear your favors towards the season. Setting out sunglasses, flip flops for dancing, or small bottles of sunscreen are wonderfully useful wedding favors for outside summer weddings. Your guests will also likely keep them after the wedding is over. Lip balm, hand warmers, or knit gloves will be much appreciated at a winter wedding. Lip balm can be especially fun to choose because you can personalize the scent/flavor to whatever you want. Pink lemonade and spearmint oil are popular choices.

Donations

A wonderful alternative to giving a physical wedding favor is to donate an amount of money per guest to a credible charity. Your guests can appreciate the notion and you are making a difference in your community – everyone wins! This is a worthy wedding favor to keep in mind and a personal favorite.

Personalized Wedding Favors

A personalized wedding favor with names or a funny saying is an excellent way to make a useable item wedding related. Shot glasses, bottle openers, drink koozies, or candles are prime examples of a favor that will be kept and actually used after the wedding is over. Your guests will love these favors and your wedding will still be well represented.

And last but not least, this is for those of you that know your family and friends will be down to party all night long. A hang over relief kit will make your guests smile the night before and immensely grateful for the next morning. These kits are funny, cute, and definitely memorable!
