Washington, DC Watercolor Garden Wedding Reception, National Cathedral School Styled Photo Shoot – Part 2

We are back with more beautiful wedding inspiration from our styled wedding photo shoot at the National Cathedral School, a terrific venue located on the grounds of the iconic National Cathedral. It’s all-white ballroom with huge windows is a beautiful and blank canvas to design a gorgeous wedding in the DC area. As an event planner it is always so rewarding to work on the creative direction for wedding and event styling for our current and future clients. We teamed up with Bonnie Sen Photography and The Dandelion Patch among other top event experts to create this Washington, DC National Cathedral wedding reception inspiration photo shoot (see the full wedding vendor list below). Here are highlights from part 2 of this Washington, DC National Cathedral wedding reception inspiration:

For this wedding reception inspiration, we wanted to pair a romantic and modern look. I love how these lucite chairs from Select Event Group are paired with a dreamy grey linen. The full and lush flowers from Petals by the Shore have a perfect touch of greenery, with additional greenery arching the windows in a similar organic way to how the ceremony was set-up. The tall candles, blush glasses and gold flatware all compliment the look.

The Dandelion Patch provided matching day-of stationery with place cards, table numbers and menus for the wedding reception.

For dessert, our stunning cake by Catherine George Cakes and petite dessert display of macarons and bonbons are artfully showcased on a vintage gold bar cart from Something Vintage.

Suzie Saltzman lent us the wedding ring and engagement ring. They were even more sparkly in person!

We set-up a cocktail hour outside the National Cathedral School, in their private terrace space. Having the National Cathedral in the backdrop of cocktail hour is one of the many benefits real couples will get when they choose the National Cathedra School as their wedding venue.

Amie Decker Beauty did the hair and make-up for our bride and we love the effortless chic and natural hair and make-up they provided.
