Washington, DC Watercolor Garden Wedding Ceremony, National Cathedral School Styled Photo Shoot – Part 1

In the DC area, we have so many amazing ceremony and reception locations that couples can choose for their wedding. And we also have an amazing pool of talented event professionals that couples can hire for their wedding planning, photography, invitations, flowers and more. We teamed up with Bonnie Sen Photography and The Dandelion Patch among other top event experts to share wedding inspiration at the National Cathedral School, which is on the grounds of the National Cathedral. The creative direction for wedding and event styling is always one of the aspects I most look forward to in working as an event planner. So it was a delight to create this Washington, DC National Cathedral wedding ceremony inspiration photo shoot (see the full wedding vendor list below). Here are highlights from part 1 of this Washington, DC National Cathedral wedding ceremony inspiration:

Loose and full of floral and texture, this bouquet from Petals by the Shore was even more beautiful in person.

Our blush, gray and gold watercolor invitation suite from The Dandelion Patch is a romantic and feminine invitation set with modern styling.

Marigold & Grey provided a luxury gift to inspire, that included a pink pashmina, rose sparkling wine, a scented canlde, macarons and chocolate bonbon’s by Catherine George Cakes.

We chose a pale blue-gray gown with a lace coverlet by pas de deux bridal for our bride. Perfectly romantic, bridal and classic with a twist.

Isn’t this ceremony backdrop so dreamy. The custom hand-painted paper by Brittany Branson was 25 ft. in length and used as our backdrop and aisle runner. With added greenery, florals and candlelight. This provided a dramatic ceremony space for our bride and groom. They are surrounded by beautiful foliage in a way that feels as though it is growing up and around them.

For our escort card display, we utilized the piano with added greenery and flowers.
