We are thrilled to share John & Ivy’s Multicultural Wedding with Pops of Red at the St. Regis Washington. We had the pleasure to work with this sweet couple for their wedding last summer. One of my favorite parts about working with couples for their wedding, is getting to know my clients on a personal level. I loved getting to know John and Ivy and seeing their love for one another. Throughout their engagement and on their wedding day, to be around them was to feel their deep love for eachother and their thoughtfulness for others. Guests were greeted upon arrival at St. Matthews Cathedral with delicious French Macarons, a perfect sweet treat to welcome the sweet new life this couple was set to begin. And as they departed, guests were given beautiful red boxes with the Chinese double happiness symbols, filled with cake balls. Red is culturally significant, and a color we used throughout the details. We worked with Steph B. and Co. to custom create stationery that would incorporate red and also personalize the details. I’m still in love with the custom crest she created incorporating John and Ivy’s chinese zodiac signs. John and Ivy incorporated so many thoughtful and beautiful details. Abby Jiu worked with us to photograph the details and day so seamlessly, and we had an amazing team of partners to carry out the details (see the full vendor list below).
